South Tech alum makes numbers count
Farrar earns high honors at young age

These are the accomplishments that helped South Technical High School alumnus Amanda Farrar earn the Superior Academic Achievement in Information Reporting Technology (IRT) Award and Scholarship for 2012 from St. Louis Community College.

Farrar is one of the youngest students to complete the IRT program at St. Louis Community College.

Farrar is a graduate of the Broadcast Captioning and Court Reporting program at South Technical High School, where she led her class in machine shorthand theory, real-time writing skills, academics and professionalism.

Her former South Tech teacher, Kathleen Saunders, said, "Hats off to this amazing individual. We'll surely hear more great things about Amanda Farrar in the future."
