    Greetings, Neuwoehner students and families,

Spring is here and with it comes a busy last quarter of the school year. Today, April 8, we will be experiencing a partial solar eclipse. The fullest coverage of the sun will take place near the end of the school day. Students, staff, as well as our bus drivers and aides, will experience the event together before departing for the day. Everyone will be provided with IOS-approved glasses and other methods to experience the eclipse safely. We are looking forward to a memorable event and keeping our fingers crossed for clear skies!

Students continue to participate in required state assessments and are engaged in academic and social skills learning. We are excited about everyone’s progress and dedication to their goals.

We are hosting a Spring Dance and BBQ on Friday, April 26, from 5–6:30 PM. We are asking that you RSVP for your student and any guests, so we can plan for food. The event will be informal and outside, weather permitting.

Staff Appreciation Week is the first week of May. While we have prepared a week of ways to show our gratitude, we need your help with soda and water for a special lunch and other events. If you are able to donate a case of soda or water, please send it to school labeled Fine or drop it off in the office. Thank you!

Graduation is Monday, May 13. Students will practice for the ceremony the Friday before during the school day. Should you have questions, please reach out. Details about Friday and Graduation Monday will be shared soon.

Please review the rest of this month’s telegram for information about the Neuwoehner online store and other information regarding the remainder of the school year.

    Thank you for your partnership,

    Kim Fine

    Principal, Neuwoehner High School
