How are special education services being provided?
Special education services and supports will be determined on an individual student basis through the development of the Form G and/or SSD Distance Learning Plan. For parents who opt into Kirkwood’s Virtual Learning Plan, special education and related services will be virtual. Students may receive related services in person as scheduled with related services personnel.
For grades 6-8, until in-person instruction begins on November 4, 2020, special education and related service instruction will continue virtually. Beginning November 4, 2020, based upon the student's distance learning plan, special education and related services will begin in person except on Mondays, which will continue to be virtual. For students continuing to participate in 100% virtual instruction, special education and related services will be provided virtually. Related services can be provided in person as scheduled within the school day with related services staff.
