The Special School District uses the SchoolMessenger Notification System to provide timely communication to parents on matters such as emergencies, weather-related closures, and other important messages that are closely related to our District’s mission. Parents can always change their SchoolMessenger contact preferences at any time by using the SchoolMessenger's Info Center or the SchoolMessenger App.
The Info Center and app allow you to control ways in which you prefer to be contacted. It also works like a mailbox, giving you a place to review messages you may have missed. To utilize this feature, simply follow the steps to create an account through the secure Info Center website by clicking on the SchoolMessenger Instructions.
SSD parents and staff can select SMS or text message notification, if they have a text-capable mobile number on record with the District. Parents can opt-in to receive text messages by texting “SUBSCRIBE" to 67587.
Please reach out to your student’s school with updated contact information, such as a new email address or change in phone number. Your school will upload the new information into ESI and Tyler SIS.
Update your contact information in Employee Self-Service by following the steps found in the Technology Services Knowledge Center.
