  • Dr. Ruth Sullivan  - A Life Well-Lived

    After her son was diagnosed with autism (1963), Ruth Sullivan spent the rest of her life working to make schools accessible to children with disabilities.  The incredible work she did helped to get the 1975 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act passed.

    SSD has teamed with Sora and the St. Louis County Library to allow students quick access to thousands of popular kid-friendly eBooks and audiobooks. Kids can read the books on a computer, tablet, or mobile device while they are in the classroom or at home. The books are automatically returned so there are NO fees. Check it out!
