    Kalia Walker
    Kalia Walker

Kalia Walker is a graduating senior from Maplewood Richmond Heights High School, and plans to attend Moberly Community College after she graduates. But her journey to graduating was not always easy. Growing up, she had a significant speech and language disability. Through years of hard work, she was able to improve her skills to become a strong overall student. But she didn’t stop there.

Kalia was inducted into her high school’s thespian troupe, earned roles in plays and volunteered with behind-the-scenes aspects as well as front-of-house duties at performances. She was also selected for the Academic Toughness Award after being nominated by several teachers. Kalia also earned the Team Enforcer Award for her performance on the basketball team and multiple Teacher Choice Awards at MRH.

Kalia takes risks to try new things and has learned through those experiences how to gain insight from both successes and challenges.
