Aesha Ali

Aesha Ali has achieved remarkable accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom as a student in the health sciences program at SSD’s South Technical High School.
“Aesha is an excellent student who takes her work in my class very seriously,” said Louvenia Jones, health sciences instructor at South Tech. “She works very hard at Delmar Gardens performing her clinical hours, and the patients enjoy seeing Aesha.”
Aesha and her family moved from Iraq to Syria when she was 5 years old, and she had lived in Syria for about five years when her family moved to the United States.
She participates in SkillsUSA at South Tech, enjoys singing with the school choir at Rockwood Summit High School and is the recipient of several honors for academic and other achievements, including the Glory of Missouri Award.
Aesha is also actively involved in the community, including service projects and fundraising for St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
“It is extraordinary to meet a young person as highly motivated and hard working as Aesha,” said Jones.
