Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation Awards Grants to SSD Staff

The Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation (MRTF) has awarded $500 grants to three SSD teachers.

Two of the grants were funded by Larry Dean of Kansas City, Missouri, in memory of his wife, Patty, who was a special educator as well as a lobbyist for special education. SSD teacher Alyssa Deuser, who works at Ritenour High School, and Beth Shoults, an SSD teacher at McCluer North High School, received Patty Dean Special Education Memorial Grants.

SSD facilitator Daniele Cerone-Griffin also received a $500 grant, which was funded directly by the MRTF.
