Dr. Dan Cuneo (Subdistrict 2 – Affton, Bayless, Hancock Place and Mehlville school districts) was elected Board president; Ms. Jan Goodman (Subdistrict 6 – Clayton, Normandy, Ritenour and University City school districts) was elected Board vice president; and Mr. John Koeper (Subdistrict 4 – Ferguson-Florissant, Pattonville and Riverview Gardens school districts) was elected Board secretary.

With the passage of Proposition S in 1998, SSD Board of Education members are interviewed and elected by the District's Governing Council. The Governing Council is comprised of one Board of Education representative from each of the 22 school districts in St. Louis County.

The SSD Governing Council elected the Board of Education members at its meeting on March 3, 2014.

All three candidates were unopposed and will serve three-year terms.
