Family Leadership Institute (FLI)

The Family Leadership Institute (FLI) is a multi-session learning experience designed to equip and empower family members who make educational decisions for students with disabilities.

Through engaging sessions, tools, and conversations, participants will explore how to advocate, collaborate, and lead—at home, at school, and in the wider community.

What You'll Gain

Participants in FLI will:

• Explore future planning tools using the Charting the LifeCourse™ framework
• Learn to effectively engage in their student’s education and influence school culture
• Build partnerships with other families and school personnel
• Discover valuable resources and strengthen their support network

What to Expect

• Sessions held at SSD Central Office
• Held across three in-person sessions
• Free for all participants
• Dinner provided each evening
