Workshops
Free learning opportunities to support families, students, and caregivers
SSD’s FACE (Family and Community Engagement) offers a variety of virtual and in-person workshops throughout the year. These sessions are designed to provide families, caregivers, and community members with helpful tools, strategies, and resources to support student success at home and in school.
Virtual or In-Person — Always Free and Open
- All workshops are free of charge and open to all families and community members.
- Workshops may be held virtually or in person, depending on the topic and format.
- After registering, you'll receive detailed information about how to join or attend the session.
Can’t Attend Live? No Problem!
If you’re interested in a workshop but can’t join live, we encourage you to register anyway. All registered participants will receive a link to the recording a few business days after the session.
What to Expect
Virtual workshops are hosted in a webinar format: you’ll see the presenters, but not other attendees. You can submit questions in advance (instructions provided in your confirmation email) or participate during the session using the chat or Q&A features.
In-person workshops offer an interactive, welcoming environment where families can connect directly with presenters and other attendees. Sessions may include real-time learning, hands-on activities, discussion, and opportunities to ask questions in real time.
