Stopfinder
Special School District utilizes the Stopfinder app for students who access SSD transportation to and from school. The free app allows families to track their student’s school bus in real-time and customize alerts about their student’s bus location.
The app is secured and protected and also serves as a two-way communication tool, allowing families to quickly and easily communicate with District Transportation officials and receive real-time notifications. Notifications can be focused on specific users based on their student’s bus route. For example, if a road is closed, causing a bus to be late picking up or dropping off, only parents and guardians of students on those specific routes will be notified.
The email address that is currently on file with the District will be used for Stopfinder setup. Access to Stopfinder is granted only to the student’s designated contacts by the Transportation Department. An invitation to activate your Stopfinder account will be sent via email at the beginning of each school year.
The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play Store.
