Dear Neuwoehner Families,
With the start of second semester comes the next phase of SSD’s reopening plan. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, students attending Neuwoehner in person and online will have daily live instruction. For Neuwoehner this means that students attending in person will attend each day school is scheduled to be in session. Neuwoehner students accessing learning online will log in every day at the start of each class period.
As a reminder, students will not attend school in person or log on for live instruction on Friday, Jan. 15. This day is now an asynchronous learning day. Staff will provide learning opportunities for your student to access through Google classroom. Additionally, first semester has not yet ended! You didn’t miss a report card! Teachers are working on grade reporting and IEP progress reports and will send them to you as they are finished.
Additional information for students attending in person:
Special education case managers for the 20 -21 school year have not changed, however, your student’s home room class assignment may have changed. Information was mailed to you regarding these changes.
Transportation will begin for daily instruction on Tuesday, Jan. 19. The drop off/pick up routines established during the past few months will stay in place. Please continue to park in a designated space and call the office or your student’s classroom so a staff person can meet you at your car.
Additional information for students attending online:
The bell scheduled that you followed for Monday/Wednesday/Friday learning is now your bell scheduled for every school day.
Changes or updates to Zoom links and classroom log ins will be shared with you before Jan. 19.
Related service providers like Speech & Language, OT, PT, and Music Therapy may have changed the times they will meet with your student online. These will be included in updated information provided to you during the week of Jan. 11.
We look forward to our second semester! Please reach out to your student’s case manager or other school staff if you have questions or if we can be of help.
