    This program is for Sophomores only. Choosing your program will be easy after this fun and engaging Career Exploration class designed just for sophomores. Over the course of one or two semesters, you will rotate through up to 6 career clusters while being introduced to many of the majors available to you in 11th grade. Students explore through hands-on projects, exciting activities, and shadowing experiences to discover the program that fits your interests and aspirations.

    Auto Collision Repair

    Our Auto Collision Repair program offers a curriculum focused on the repair and appearance of the interior and exterior of vehicles. Students learn how to assess, estimate, and repair using modern welding, sanding, masking and painting techniques using the same advanced equipment found in professional auto collision repair companies.

    Our Automotive Technology program is driven by the 4 main systems of vehicle operation: brakes, suspension and steering, engine performance, and electrical/electronics. Students will diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of vehicles alongside their ASE certified Master Technician instructor. The classroom includes modern diagnostic equipment which students operate as they work toward multiple ASE certifications.

    Our Carpentry program helps students build a skill set including framing, estimating, roofing, and interior finishing. Students learn how to read and interpret blueprints and build structures using a wide range of professional power tools and carpentry materials.

    Our Cisco Networking Academy is an honors course in which students learn how to design, install and troubleshoot complex computer networks. Students will navigate a variety of projects as they complete Cisco’s online curriculum in preparation for their certification exams.

    Our Construction Innovations program allows students to customize a year or semester of construction exploration to match their interests. A wide variety of quarter long courses give students a solid foundation of basic knowledge and experience. Students can continue into an Advanced Construction course in their second year. Students choose from: Carpentry, Electrical Trades, General Construction, Welding, or Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning

    Our Construction Trades program provides students with general skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electricity, and heating and cooling. Projects allow students to take complete construction projects from blueprints to completion.

    Our Cosmetology program is an exclusive high school program offering the same curriculum as a beauty college without tuition costs. All aspects of cosmetology including all hair, nail, and skincare services are included. Students learn in a full-service salon along with classroom instruction from licensed Cosmetologists. By graduation, students will have had the opportunity to earn all of the hours required to take their Missouri State Board certification exam to become a licensed cosmetologist.

    Our Culinary Arts program is taught in a modern, fully equipped, restaurant style kitchen as required by the American Culinary Federation for certification. Students plan, prepare, and cater meals alongside professional chefs in both the classroom, compete at various competitions throughout the year, and participate in exclusive mentorship and shadowing program with some of our region’s most recognized culinary leaders.

    Students are immersed in clinical experience in both the classroom and through internships available during the senior year. Our modern operatory includes real-world tools and equipment which allow students to conduct mock exams and perform X-rays, preventative and restorative practices, and emergency care.

    Our Diesel Technology program trains students to analyze and repair the complex electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems of today’s semi-trucks and heavy construction equipment. Students will troubleshoot, overhaul, and assemble diesel engines using the same equipment and techniques as professional mechanics.

    Our Early Childhood Education program students become the teacher in our certified preschools as they research, create, and implement lesson plans while learning effective preschool teaching techniques. Upon graduation, students will have a portfolio of work to present to colleges and/or employers.

    Our Electrical Trades program teaches students how to design, stage, and install commercial and residential electrical wiring for power and telecommunications systems. Skills include blueprint interpretation, layout design, and programming equipment while emphasizing logical thinking.

    Our Fashion Design program teaches students how to use the techniques of top designers to illustrate and tailor garments. The program produces a full scale fashion show annually which includes model casting, line creation, and styling for the runway.

    Our Firefighting and Emergency Medical Technician major is an academy level course that immerses students into academy level training. Using a wide range of firefighting and life-saving medical and diagnostic equipment, students develop their skills through real world emergency scenarios and field experiences.

    Our Graphic Design program channels students’ passion for art into advertising and marketing projects using the full Adobe Suite of design software. Through advanced tutorials combined with a study of fonts, color theory, sketching and drawing, students produce a professional portfolio of their work to share with prospective colleges and employers.

    Our HVAC program teaches students to design, install, repair and maintain residential and commercial refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems. Students will learn blueprint reading, electrical schematics, and operational sequence charts as they progress toward certification.

    Our Hospitality, Business, & Entrepreneurship program students are immersed into this exciting and people-centered career pathway to learn about event planning, social media marketing, customer service and sales, banquets and branding from industry professionals. Opportunities are available for students to shadow and potentially intern at well-known St. Louis hotels.

    Our Law Enforcement program takes students through a one year introduction to the Police Academy through an array of training exercises, crime scenarios, self-defense and fitness training. Students will learn conflict mediation and resolution, investigation techniques, and be trained in the use of advanced security related training equipment, including vehicles.

    Our Veterinary Assistant program explores the science of veterinary medicine including animal care and training, clinical procedures, medical terminology, grooming, and disease prevention.
