Our Mission
-
The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Centers (ECC) at South Technical High School are operated by the College and Career Readiness Department of Special School District of St. Louis County. The purpose of the ECC Center is to provide a high quality child care setting as a demonstration laboratory for students enrolled in the ECC program. The center is a place for young children to play and learn. We believe it is the responsibility of the school administration, the ECC staff, the students, and the parents, working together, to ensure the health and well-being of the children who attend our centers.

Tuition is Due in Advance
Tuition is due in advance of care provided. Payments are considered late as of 10:00 a.m. Wednesday each week. If you have forgotten to make a payment, you will receive a written reminder. Please pay the balance immediately. If the tuition is not paid by Friday, you must pay your balance in full in the main office, and bring the receipt to the center director before your child is allowed to attend.
-
Late Fees
$10.00 will be assessed for each late payment including and after the fourth late payment. In the event that more than one check is returned for insufficient funds, cash or money order payments will be required for the remainder of the year. Frequent late payments or NSF checks will be reason for termination of services.
-
Absences
There will be no credit or rescheduling for days of absence. In case of serious illness or vacation, where the child misses a full week, a 50% credit will be given. Advance notice is required for a one-time vacation reduction. Please indicate your intent to use this credit by placing a note in the tuition box. A doctor’s verification is needed for credit due to illness. No tuition will be charged for days the center is closed.
-
Extra Days
Children may attend on extra days on a space-available basis with the prior permission of an instructor. Arrangements must be made in advance so that we can order an extra lunch. It assists us in our bookkeeping if the extra tuition is paid through a separate check on the extra day of attendance.
-
Late Pick-Up
A fee of $5.00 per 15 minutes will be charged to the account of a parent who arrives after 4:40 PM (up to 15 minutes late, $5.00 fee; up to 30 minutes late, $10.00). The first incidence of late pick-up will result in a reminder. More than five late pick-up incidents during the school year will constitute grounds for termination of enrollment.
