About the St. Louis County Court Schools
The SSD St. Louis County Court Schools provide educational services for students at the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) and Lakeside Center. Students are provided with instruction and the opportunity to earn credits towards graduation. JDC is located in the St. Louis County Family Court Center. Lakeside School is a program housed at Marygrove residential treatment center. The focus of courts programs is to give students the skills they need to make a successful transition back to their home school and/or post-school life after graduation.

Court Schools work to accomplish our mission to provide a learning environment that focuses on positive educational and social outcomes by:
- Fostering collaborative relationships with students, families, and court staff.
- Teaching the SSD curriculum
- Establishing a trauma informed school culture
- Developing systems that address the needs of staff and students
