Teach at SSD

At SSD, our teachers are more than educators—they are mentors, advocates, and changemakers dedicated to empowering every student to reach their full potential.

Special Education Teachers
As an SSD special education teacher, you will provide personalized instruction tailored to diverse learning abilities, ensuring that every student receives the support, tools, and strategies they need to thrive.

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teachers
As an SSD career and technical education (CTE) teacher, you will guide high school students through a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum that prepares them for success in college and careers. By leveraging your industry expertise, you will help students earn certifications, licensure, college credit, and other career credentials, connecting classroom learning to real-world opportunities.

Teaching here goes beyond academics. Our educators share an unwavering dedication to creating inclusive, equitable, and accessible learning environments. We believe that patience, empathy, and advocacy are just as vital as instruction in shaping student success.

Join SSD and make a lasting impact—one student at a time.

I love SSD. I've been here since I was 20 years old. I love the challenge everyday and working with a variety of different students. I really enjoy them!

Melissa Maness, Teacher of the Year 2024

Students are the driving force behind everything I do. Their passion, curiosity, and determination inspire me to push the boundaries of traditional education and cultivate innovative learning experiences that bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace.
