Hospitality & Hotel Management Program
Students are immersed into these exciting and people-centered career pathways to develop their skills and find their passion in event planning, retail management, social media marketing, customer service and sales, and branding from industry professionals. Students will participate in a variety of field experiences, operate a real-world school based business, and learn how to evolve innovative solutions to problems into validated business opportunities.
*Juniors who complete this program can continue at Tech in the 1 Year Culinary Arts program if they choose.
Prerequisites at the Time of Junior Year Enrollment
- Juniors: Minimum of 7 core credits (1.5 must be English), on track to graduate
- Seniors: Minimum of 11 core credits (2.5 must be English), on track to graduate

*College credit and certification are not guaranteed. Their attainment is dependent on student performance in both the course and on external industry assessments. All certifications are through external agencies and the accommodations permitted will vary from assessment to assessment. Additionally, students must participate in the full two years of the program to be potentially eligible for all certifications listed.

Tech is Real World Learning
Students in this program learn through the use of a variety of industry grade tools and equipment and texts. Their real world labs also require uniforms and personal protective equipment.

Students learn the entry level skills necessary to prepare for post-secondary education and the highly competitive world of work. Traditionally, successful students have mastered the processing and/or physical skills listed below prior to enrollment.

Mr. Palladino began working at North Tech High in 2016 as the teacher of the International Hotel Group Academy Program. Prior to joining North Tech Mr. Palladino had worked for Hyatt Hotels for approximately 10 years in cities such as Chicago, Louisville, and St. Louis. Mr. Palladino has a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University and an M.B.A. in Hospitality Administration from Roosevelt University.
