Service Learning: Soda Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Mrs. Jennifer Stanfield’s class will be collecting aluminum soda tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.  Before you go to recycle that soda can, please remove the tab and start collecting.  Throughout the school year, you can send the soda tabs in with your child and we will see that Mrs. Stanfield’s class receives them.  Last year, the Ronald McDonald house brought in $20,000 by recycling all the aluminum soda tabs that were donated by local agencies.  Start today and be a part of the "fan-tab-ulous" group of collectors!

Hats On to benefit cancer patients

Neuwoehner Newspaper students host Hats on Day the second Friday of each month. With a 25 cent donation, students can wear a hat during the school day. Proceeds from Hats on Days benefit Friends of Kids with Cancer.

Community Outreach

On April 25, Mission Continues will be coming to Neuwoehner to help with our garden areas. Mission Continues is a volunteer veteran program working with Home Depot. The Neuwoehner Garden Committee made a list of task that needed to be completed for each of our outdoor garden areas. We currently have a sensory garden, vegetable garden and an outdoor classroom. Mission Continues asked how they could help with each of these areas and made a plan to have 20-30 volunteers work together to complete the projects. Come help us on April 25th from 9am-3pm.
