Raising children is often as challenging as it is rewarding. This section of the SSD website aims to provide parents of students receiving special education services with a range of information, tools and resources to help their children succeed.

Resources are divided into disability categories currently recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Each section offers helpful definitions, eligibility criteria and a broad array of local, state and national resources, along with unique tools developed and provided by SSD.
