October 12, 2022 - During last night’s meeting, SSD’s Board of Education reviewed updates to the 2023-24 calendar. The updates will align our SSD calendar with those of our partner districts. The Board will vote to approve the changes for the 2023-24 calendar at the next Board Business meeting on Nov. 1. No calendar changes are occurring for the current (2022-23) school year.

The following changes were suggested to the STUDENT 2023-24 calendar: 

• Updated the language on Oct. 19-20 to reflect “Fall Break”
• Added AMI (virtual) Days for North and South Tech ONLY on Nov. 7
• Updated second semester return date to Jan. 3
• Updated Spring Break to March 18-22
• Added No Student day to March 29

The following changes were suggested to the STAFF 2023-24 calendar:

• Updated staff first day to Aug. 8
• Added AMI (virtual) Days for North and South Tech ONLY on Nov. 7
• Updated second semester return date to Jan. 3
• Updated Spring Break to March 18-22
• Added No Staff or Student Day to March 29
