Dr. Wallace stands with her awardAugust 10, 2021 - The Titus2 Foundation honored SSD’s Dr. Ronda Wallace with their Educator Impact award at their annual Scholarship Brunch on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Dr. Wallace, principal of North Technical High School, was nominated due to her dedication to her students and her expectation that all students can excel. Additionally, the foundation recognized Wallace for being the first African-American female principal of North Tech.  “She is a true example of what the Educator Impact Award represents,” said Dr. Dawn Richards of the foundation.

“I was overwhelmed with joy and appreciation,” said Wallace, who had served as an assistant principal and then interim principal at North Tech before becoming principal in the spring of 2021. Her focus is on building a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

Dr. Wallace’s commitment to North Tech students echoes the mission of Titus2 Foundation, which is to develop underserved high school students into productive citizens through family, school, and community partnerships. To learn more about the foundation, visit www.titus2foundation.org.
