August 11, 2023 - Greetings North Tech students and families, I would like to welcome you to the start of the 2023-24 school year. For those of you that haven’t met me, I am Emanuel Young, the new head principal of North Technical High School. Our wonderful new assistant principal, Dr. Erica Karius, and I are thrilled to be leading North Tech and supporting you on your educational journey! 

This year brings many exciting new changes for North Tech. We are welcoming new staff and introducing two new programs, Dental Sciences and Multimedia. Returning students will notice a fresh vibe when they step into the school building. That's because we've given our building a makeover this summer, with new paint and new flooring throughout.

At North Tech, we're more than just a school – we're a supportive family. Our amazing team of teachers, counselors, and support staff are here to guide you every step of the way, not just in your chosen program, but in life as well. We're here to help you grow academically, personally, and professionally.

You know, there's a saying that goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." And here at North Tech, we truly believe in that idea. We're all about open communication. In the coming days, you’ll begin to hear from your teachers regarding program requirements and supply lists. Additionally, teachers are hosting a virtual “Meet the Teacher” Zoom session on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. This is a great opportunity to get to know the incredible educators who will be supporting your student on their journey. 

Here are a few friendly reminders for you: 

• If you have not already done so, please complete the new student registration process which can be found here: SIS: Student Enrollment. Please pay special attention to the emergency contact information page and ensure it's up to date. We want to be certain we can reach you if needed. 

• Transportation information has been mailed via USPS postal mail. If you have transportation-related questions, please contact our transportation secretary, Cynthia Wright at 314-989-7602 or by email at cwright@ssdmo.org.
