Tech Tuesdays Connect Students with Higher Ed and Industry Leaders

Every Tuesday through December 15, North and South Tech will host a virtual speaker series called “Tech Tuesdays.”Tech Tuesdays Logo

Guest speakers from local businesses, industry partners, colleges and universities will speak to students about educational and career opportunities across a variety of fields.

“We created Tech Tuesdays to foster work-based learning opportunities for students and share valuable information as they plan for their lives after high school,” Kevin Andert, SSD’s Executive Director for Career and Technical Education said.

“Tech Tuesdays give our students an opportunity to engage with partners from many different fields and learn more about pathways that may be of interest,” Andert added.

The first Tech Tuesday was held on September 1 and featured Bobby Orman from State Technical College of Missouri. The next session, on September 8, will feature a speaker from BJC Healthcare.

“This speaker series is open to any student at North and South Tech as well as students participating in SSD's VSP program or students who attend SSD Schools,” Andert said.

The virtual sessions are hosted on YouTube each Tuesday at 2 p.m. Click here to see the full schedule and to get links to each session
