South Tech Virtual Open House Nov. 4, 5 - 7 PM

October 11, 2021 - South Technical High School, career and technical education (CTE) provider in south and west St. Louis County, will host a virtual Open House on Nov. 4, 2021, from 5-7 PM. In cooperation with local partner districts, South Tech offers students CTE courses that immerse them in real-world learning. CTE’s mission is college and career readiness - a commitment to preparing students for the increasing demands of the 21st-century workforce and ensuring they are fully prepared for college and careers.

During the Virtual Open House, students and families can visit up to three CTE programs for a live presentation from instructors and the admissions team and engage in Q&A sessions. Admissions representatives will offer application assistance and an overview of the acceptance process. Online applications can be submitted through South Tech's Admissions Portal.

Applications are currently being reviewed and accepted for classes beginning in August 2022. Acceptance to South Tech’s CTE programs is competitive and classes accept an average of 20 students per year. Our smaller classes allow students to build lasting connections with their instructors grounded in mentorship, team building, and a passion for their course of study. Students take their CTE elective on South Tech’s campus. Their academic courses, lunch, and extracurricular activities continue at their home high school.

Homeschooled, privately educated, and public schooled high school students who live in St. Louis County are eligible to take classes at South Tech tuition-free. Classes begin junior year and continue through senior year, with 1.5 high school elective credits awarded each semester. Most programs offer articulated and/or college credits, industry-recognized certifications, credentials, and licenses. Several programs also offer embedded academic high school credit.
