Guidance Regarding Partner District MOCAP Option
As we prepare for the 2021-22 school year, we want to ensure families are aware of important information regarding planning decisions about virtual and in-person options at both SSD and our partner districts.
2021-2022 PLAN FOR NORTH AND SOUTH TECH
Due to the technical nature of our programs and the need for students to participate in hands-on activities, North and South Technical High Schools will not be offering a virtual option for our junior and senior programs for the 2021-2022 school year.
PLANS AT SENDING HIGH SCHOOLS
We also realize our families may be considering both virtual and in-person options offered by their home high school. Several districts have chosen to offer families a virtual option through the Missouri Course Access Program, also known as MOCAP. PLEASE NOTE: if students choose a full-time MOCAP option, they will not be eligible to participate in the programs offered at North and South Technical High School.
If your students’ district is offering a virtual option other than MOCAP which you are considering, please communicate with your high school guidance office to confirm your student can remain enrolled at North or South Tech while using that option.
Finally, if your student is planning to participate in a virtual option through their home high school or your student is no longer planning to attend Tech, please contact us at 314-989-7661 (North Tech) or 314-989-7400 (South Tech).
