SSD Wins State Awards for Communications Efforts
Special School District’s Communications Department was recently honored by the Missouri School Public Relations Association (MOSPRA) for its efforts to inform and engage the community. The Communications Department received nine awards as part of the annual MOSPRA Communications Awards program.
Entries in categories included writing, marketing, video, annual report, and golden achievement (larger projects), are carefully evaluated by public relations professionals from other states and measured against industry standards. Communications teams can earn awards of excellence, merit, or commendation based on their tallied scores.
SSD’s team won the following awards:
Awards of Merit
Awards of Commendation
“This recognition is an honor for SSD and the Communications team. I’m proud of all that we’ve accomplished in such a short time,” said Jennifer Henry, executive director of communications. “We are looking forward to continuing to collaborate with our internal stakeholders and our partner district staff as we help tell the great stories of SSD to our community and staff.”
MOSPRA is the Missouri Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association and is comprised of school-communication practitioners from both public and private school districts throughout the state. The organization’s Communication Awards Program recognizes its members for their creative and effective work in school public relations.
