SSD Celebrates School Board Recognition Week
March 15, 2023 - Special School District joins school districts across Missouri in celebrating our local education leaders during School Board Recognition Week. The recognition month aims to bring awareness and understanding of the important function an elected board of education member plays in communities and schools.
Missourians benefit every day from the dedicated energy and countless hours devoted by the more than 3,600 men and women who serve on school boards throughout our state. These elected public servants do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts.
The SSD school board is unique in its service. Elected by our Governing Council, our directors represent all of the 22 school districts of St. Louis County.
SSD recognizes the service and dedication of our 2022-23 Board of Education:
- Katie Pottroff, Board President, representing Subdistrict 3
- Dr. Meredith Byers, Vice President, representing Subdistrict 5
- Dr. Dan Cuneo, Board President, representing Subdistrict 2
- Dr. Yuval Asner, Director, representing Subdistrict 7
- Curtis Faulkner, Director, representing Subdistrict 1
- Tiffany Hudson, Director, representing Subdistrict 6
- Scott Moeller, Director, representing Subdistrict 4
Join us in thanking the Special School District Board of Education members for their leadership, encouragement, and advocacy.
