Litzsinger Spring Program and Art Walk

Litzsinger student and teacher blow bubbles for the annual Talent Show.

May 8, 2023 - Litzsinger students put in weeks of dedication, strong work ethic, creativity, and patience in preparation for the annual Spring Program and Art Walk. The special day is led by Music Teacher Kyle Spies and Art Teacher Stephanie McCoy. It combines two events - a talent show and art walk - allowing students to showcase different types of skills and abilities.

“I thought the show was a lot of fun and the students did a fantastic job,” said Spies. “It’s important to have some kind of performance because it gives the students a goal to work towards. Performing and preparing for a show is something I believe all students should get to experience.”

Performances for the talent show included dances, stand-up comedy, football plays, musical instruments, and more. The art show featured an accumulation of projects created throughout the entire year including bird houses, portraits, and abstract paintings.

“Students select the pieces they would like displayed,” said McCoy. “It’s a time for family and friends to come together and see all the hard work from Litzsinger students. That’s my favorite part. It’s so much fun to see all of the smiles, laughs, and simply coming together to support and showcase the many talents of Litzsinger students.”

Special thanks goes to Tammy Topp and Melinda Jones for assisting with choreography and practices and to the students who helped DJ the event. Litzsinger’s final event of the year is the School Picnic which takes place on the last day of school, May 25.
