Eaglin Announced as Director of FACE

April 2, 2024 - During the Feb. 27 Board of Education meeting, Adrienne Eaglin was approved as the Director of FACE (Family and Community Engagement). Eaglin will move into the position at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year.

Eaglin currently serves Special School District as the FACE manager, a position she has held since 2017. Within this position, she led the development of the vision, goals, programs, and professional learning opportunities of SSD’s FACE. Eaglin has facilitated districtwide committee meetings with SSD schools’ teacher leaders and administrators to support building-level integration of family engagement practices. She also led the creation of the Family Resource Hub, which acts as a communicable meeting place for students and families through Family Cafes and Hub Huddles.

Eaglin previously served as a social worker at Northview High School and Riverview Gardens School District, where she provided mental health services, resource navigation, and service coordination for students and families. Eaglin also facilitated a multi-disciplinary building-level team to support student social-emotional learning development, bullying prevention, and character development.

In 2023, Eaglin was a recipient of Character.org’s Promising Practice for the Welcoming School Walkthrough tours, which allow families, community members, administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals to provide feedback on the environment and culture of indoor and outdoor spaces of SSD schools. She’s also participated as a speaker at several SSD, regional, and national conferences.

Eaglin holds a master's of public policy administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master's in social work from St. Louis University. She is also a licensed clinical social worker. She is an ambassador for Charting the LifeCourse and is an Educational Surrogate.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the FACE director for the students, families, and staff of SSD,” said Eaglin. “I am excited to work towards increasing awareness of our division's support and improving our collaboration with community partners in our county. With a solid foundation to build upon, I look forward to maintaining this division's heart while expanding our impact and improving the outcomes of those we support."
