Board Approves Administration Hire at Neuwoehner
June 23, 2021 - The SSD Board of Education has approved Kim Fine as the new principal at Neuwoehner High School on Tuesday evening. Prior to that, Fine has served as Neuwoehner’s assistant principal for 5 years.
“I am excited to support Neuwoehner’s commitment to students with complex special education needs,” said Fine. “It is an honor to lead the Neuwoehner community in working toward its vision of seeing all students successfully transition to their individualized visions of post-secondary success.”
Fine began her career in the Orchard Farm School District, working first as a special education teacher and then as a special education process coordinator. Before coming to SSD, she spent time working as a project search coordinator, arranging multi-district, multi-agency programs for transition instruction for students.
Since joining the staff at Neuwoehner, she has led family engagement, Character Education, and PBIS initiatives. Fine has also facilitated the extended school year program in her building and been a member of the CSIP teams that oversees Self-Determination and Family Engagement.
Fine is committed to continuing SSD’s and Neuwoehner’s mission of providing unparalleled support for students receiving special education services by maintaining high standards, while addressing opportunities for growth and change.
Fine graduated from University of Missouri - Columbia with a bachelor’s in journalism, and Lindenwood University with a master’s in teaching and education specialist in school administration.
