Nick O’Donnell Named Assistant Principal at Neuwoehner High School
June 1, 2022 - During the May 24, 2022 Board of Education meeting, Nick O’Donnell was approved as the new assistant principal at Neuwoehner High School.
Since 2012, O’Donnell has served SSD as a special education teacher at Parkway Central High School. Within this role, he worked directly with at-risk students and assisted them in credit recovery to reach their graduation goals. O’Donnell instructed and managed a large caseload of students diagnosed with anxiety and depression, focusing on suicide prevention, drug and alcohol awareness, violent behavior, mental health, and difficult home and family situations. He also has served as the summer area coordinator at Parkway Central High School, leading daily operations of the building during credit recovery programs held over the summer.
Prior to this role, O’Donnell worked as an elementary special education teacher in Winfield School District, a paraprofessional in Francis Howell School District, and an elementary physical education teacher in St. Clair School District.
O’Donnell holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education/health from Lindenwood University, a master’s degree in education leadership from Arkansas State University, and is currently enrolled to complete a special education director certificate in the Missouri Pathway for Aspiring Leaders (MoPAL) Leadership Program through the Department of Education and Secondary Education (DESE).
