Parent Input Needed – SSD Summer Enrichment Opportunity
Feb. 1, 2021 - Special School District is making plans to offer an optional enrichment program during the summer of 2021. The Universal Summer Supports (USS) program is intended to augment the educational experience of children with disabilities, in grades K-12, whose typical learning opportunities were impacted by unexpected school closures due to COVID-19. The USS program will not replace ESY. More information about USS can be found in the Universal Summer Supports Superintendent Blog.
SSD is currently working with our Partner Districts, SSD Schools, Technical High Schools, Vocational Skills Program, and staff to determine if we are able to offer this program. We would also like to determine the level of interest in the USS program from our families. Please complete the brief USS Program Survey for each of your children that receives services from the SSD.
