Board Approves Administration Hire at SouthviewJune 23, 2021 - The SSD Board of Education approved Erin Lynch as the new assistant principal at Southview School on Tuesday evening. The assistant principal position was left vacant, after Dr. Joyce Doyle accepted a partner district director position with SSD in Lindbergh School District.

“During my 14 years with SSD, I have always known the exceptional team within the Southview School,” said Lynch. “I am most looking forward to the collaborative environment this school offers their students, staff, and families. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to grow with the students and staff. I am committed to the success of our team and student learners.”

Lynch began her career with Special School District in 2007, as a teacher. During that time, she developed a social emotional behavior program for the high school level, acted as a special education co-department chair, and served as a case manager for students with emotional disturbances and disabilities. More recently, Lynch has served as an area coordinator with SSD.

She has participated in SSD’s Teacher Leadership Academy and is a champion for SSD Leadership Teams: Educator Evaluation Systems.

Lynch graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a bachelor’s in cross categorical, Lindenwood University with a master’s in teaching, Southwest Baptist University with an educational specialist degree, and University of Missouri - St. Louis with a certificate in special education administrator (director).
