October 2, 2023 - Thanks to a generous donation from Tradehome Shoes, 45 students at Litzsinger School will be given a brand new pair of Under Armour Shoes.

Litzsinger is honored to be a recipient,” said Dr. Julie Moorman, Litzsinger assistant principal. “Social workers will be working with families to ensure shoes are provided to students in need.”

The unexpected and exciting news was announced over the summer, and the shoes were delivered to the school at the end of September. The footwear is for both boys and girls, sizes 7 to 11.

Tradehomes Shoes is a 100% employee-owned, service-oriented retailer of quality footwear, and they also value giving back to the local community. They recently partnered with Under Armour for its Trade at Home, Give at Home initiative. As part of the program, every purchase of Century line shoe care products results in $1 applied toward purchasing shoes for students in heartland schools. Tradehome encourages its customers to nominate schools, and Litzsinger School was nominated and won.

“I would love to tell Tradehome Shoes that their generosity will help students of Litzsinger feel more comfortable and have a basic necessity to be successful in school,” said Kathy Russ, Litzsinger principal. “Their mission to give back to the community has directly impacted 45 students. Thank you!”
