Greetings, Neuwoehner Students and Families!

It’s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the 2021-22 school year! This school year has proven challenging for many reasons. Throughout each transition related to COVID, the unexpected loss of our teacher and colleague, Mr. Spitler, and countless other ways that school is more complicated than ‘just school’ we have felt the support that each of you provides for your students and our Neuwoehner community. Thank you for including us on your student’s team!

May 2 – 6 Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

Neuwoehner staff would appreciate an email or note so much! If you have time, please drop your student’s team a thank you note. Also, THANK YOU for the donations that are making every day this week a special one for our staff.

End of Year Activities

Students have completed End of Course exams and are continuing to finish MAP-A and other state/District required assessments. The Heart Walk is this Thursday during the school day. I will be attending 8th Grade Promotion at Litzsinger and their students will be touring Neuwoehner this month as well. Field Day will be the last day of student attendance, May 26.

The Class of 2022 celebrates graduation on May 18. Families of graduates, look for a graduation-specific email with details about the evening later this week. The last day of attendance for graduates is May 18.

ESY (Extended School Year)

Information about your student’s special education case manager and other details for ESY will be sent home or mailed today.

New Assistant Principal

We will welcome a new assistant principal to Neuwoehner for the 2022-23 school year. Mrs. Schwaegel will be the new Director of Early Childhood Education for Mehville School District. We wish her well in her next steps! We look forward to introducing you to a new assistant principal later this summer.

 Last Day of School

The last day of student attendance is Thursday, May 26.

Thank you again for your support of Neuwoehner! It is my privilege to serve as the principal of such an amazing community of students, families, and staff.
