Rosemary Zander Awards

Tell us about your amazing students!

Since 1988, the Rosemary Zander Awards have recognized SSD students for their exceptional progress or notable achievements in school and/or the community. Their successes may be evident in academics, communication, community service, extracurricular activities, independent living skills, or vocational training/employment.

Additionally, students who receive a Zander Award have demonstrated a positive attitude about their life journey and the challenges they manage along the way. Their influence and example have inspired other students as they pursue their individual paths toward success.

A panel of SSD judges chooses our recipients by carefully reviewing and scoring the many nominations submitted each year, including the heartfelt and thoughtful words of SSD staff who clearly think the world of their students. While it makes the selection challenging, it is also a true testament to the special work of SSD.
